Every quote I get lists different cartilage. Can someone explain the trade-offs in plain English?

From what I've gathered: septum = most common, limited quantity. Ear = softer, used for tip. Rib = lots of strong material for big changes/revisions, but extra incision + longer recovery. Donor rib (from a bank) is also offered at some places — ask about warping/resorption risks.
